We welcome solo travelers, couples, families, photographers, and small groups. We also support B2B partners such as travel agencies and corporate groups.

Q3: Do I need a visa to enter Mongolia?

Visa requirements vary by country. Taiwanese travelers require a tourist visa. Citizens of some countries (e.g., U.S., Japan, Germany) enjoy visa-free entry for limited durations. Check your country’s requirements before booking.

Q4: How do I book a tour with Mazala Travel?

You can book through our website, via email, or with a local partner agency. We offer customizable experiences and group packages. A deposit may be required to confirm your spot.

Q5: Can I customize my tour?

Yes! We offer private and tailor-made itineraries for families, corporate travelers, and photographers. Just tell us your interests and timeline—we’ll build a plan that suits you.

Q6: What’s included in the tour price?

Unless otherwise noted, our tour packages include:

Airport transfers
Accommodations (hotels, ger camps)
Private transport
All meals
Mandarin/English-speaking guides
Entrance fees, activities, and festival access
Basic travel insurance in Mongolia

Q7: What’s not included?

International airfare, visa fees, personal travel insurance, alcoholic drinks, personal expenses, and optional add-ons (e.g., SIM cards, extra nights) are not included unless stated.

Q8: How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking 2–3 months in advance to secure space, especially during peak seasons (June–September and during Naadam Festival in July).

Q10: What is the best time to visit Mongolia?

Summer (June–August): Best weather, Naadam Festival
Autumn (Sept–Oct): Eagle Festival, fewer tourists, cooler weather

Winter (Nov–Mar): Cultural trips, winter nomad experiences (cold but authentic)

Q11: Can I access Wi-Fi during the trip?

Yes, in cities and some ger camps. For remote areas, connectivity is limited. We recommend getting a local SIM or pocket Wi-Fi for ongoing access.

Q12: What kind of food is served on tour?

Meals are a mix of traditional Mongolian (meat-based), Asian, and international dishes. Vegetarian options are available with prior notice. In remote areas, meals are simpler.

Q13: What are accommodations like?

In Ulaanbaatar: 3–4 star hotels with private bathrooms
In countryside: Tourist ger camps with shared or private facilities, sometimes powered by solar energy
Premium upgrades available for glamping-style gers and boutique lodges

Q14: I have dietary restrictions. Can you accommodate?

Yes, we can accommodate most dietary needs (vegetarian, halal, gluten-free, allergies) with advance notice.

🛡️ HEALTH, SAFETY & INSURANCE

Q15: Is Mongolia safe for tourists?

Yes. Mongolia is one of Asia’s safest destinations. Crime is rare outside Ulaanbaatar. Our guides are trained in first aid and safety protocol.

Q16: What kind of insurance is included?

Basic local insurance is provided for medical support in Mongolia. We strongly recommend that you also purchase comprehensive international travel insurance, covering medical evacuation and trip interruption.

Q17: What if I get sick or injured?

We work with licensed guides and local medical facilities. In emergencies, we coordinate with hospitals in Ulaanbaatar and international embassies if needed.

🚗 TRANSPORT & LOGISTICS

Q18: What type of vehicles do you use?

We use comfortable, modern 4×4 vehicles (Toyota Land Cruiser or similar) for countryside trips. All vehicles are air-conditioned and driven by experienced drivers.

Q19: Will we be driving a lot?

Some days include 4–6 hours of driving through scenic areas. We plan stops for photos, snacks, and rest along the way.

Q20: Do I need to bring cash?

Yes. While cards are accepted in Ulaanbaatar, countryside areas are cash-based. Bring USD or local MNT, and exchange money in the city or at the airport.

Q21: Can I take photos of people and gers?

Yes, but always ask for permission first, especially in nomadic homes or during religious rituals. Guides will help you navigate photo etiquette.

Q22: What should I wear when visiting temples or families?

Dress modestly and avoid bright or revealing clothing when entering religious sites or family gers. Remove hats and shoes when invited inside.

Yes! Our Astro Photography & Eagle Festival Tour is designed for photographers. We also provide custom trips for film crews, vloggers, and content creators.

Yes. We offer VIP-access packages to Mongolia’s biggest cultural festivals, with guided backstage access and premium seating.
